Magnus Guide


1hand Magnus Guide

Path: Warrior>Infantryman>Knight>Magnus
Weapon: Dependes on you(you can only choose among these 3 tho: AXE for higher crit damage and crit rate, MACE for higher def, and SWORD for higher atk speed)
Basic Skill Combo: Rune Impact>Sonic Boom>Blunt Shield>Double Strike

PROs and CONs
A very good thing about 1Hand magnuses is that their PDEF and PATK is very balanced. 1Hand magnuses, like paladins, can achieve imba PDEF based on your equips. It is not true that 1hand magnuses are like nerfed paladins. To further support that, lemme ask those people who said that 1hand magnuses are inferior. So here's my question:

Q) Does PALADIN have higher PATK than MAGNUS?
A) Guess not. Because basically, PALADINS are meant for tanking.

I've also read a guide stating that 1HAND MAGNUS is inferior compared to 2HAND MAGNUS. Well again, in my humble opinion, that is not true. Yes, 2hand magnuses have high PATK but its def is relatively lower compared to 1hand magnuses. Another good thing about 1hand magnuses is that they can block an attack from an enemy. And btw, 1hand figthers have this skill called double strike which drains 412 HP of your enemy per second. :D

The only CON that i see in this class is that it is not that good in GW. But if you have the right items, dude, you will rock them all :D

2hand Magnus Guide

Weapon: I strongly Suggest that you use 2hand Axe for higher crit damage and crit rate

Note: For you to be able to level up faster, equip yourself with 1hand weapon from level 1 to level 104 then use reskill when you reach level 105. Its not advisable to use 2hand weapons right from the start because in this path, you can only get the burning crash and earthquake skill once you reach level 105.

From Warrior>Infantryman>Knight path, use the class skills that I posted on my 1hand guide. Once you reach 105 use reskill and these are the skills that you have learn:

Dual-Wield Magnus Guide
They say that this build is not advisable for magnuses, that if you want to dual-wield you have to be an SM. Well, In my opinion, that wasn't true. The only CON that I see in this build is that it has lower crit rate than SM. With regards to the PATK, dual-wielding magnuses may have a little lower of it but its ATK SPEED is faster. And with the PDEF, well Sword Masters are no match.

Path: Warrior>Infantryman>Knight>Magnus
Weapon: Since dual-wielders have a very low crit rate, I strongly Suggest that you use 2 1hand axes for higher crit damage and crit rate
Basic Skill Combo: Rune Impact>Blunt Shield>Sonic Boom>Double Sonic Blast
Equips: High vit/str philoed items (I personally prefer high vit since dual-wielding gives high base damage). Try to afford a Hidden Blade set and a crit slime for cool crit rate boost :)
For the Armor, im using Holy armor max STR craft, vit philoed, str reinforce.
Stat: Str or vit will do.

INT-TYPE MAGNUS(Dual-Wield)

Path: Warrior>Swordsman>Phalanx>Magnus
Weapon: Mace. If both the effects of Left hand and Right Hand weapon is working, then use 2 Athena's Mithril Hammer. If not, try to equip yourself with 1 Athena and an Int Crafted Mace.
Basic Skill Combo: Rune Impact>Holy Strike>Blunt Shield>Holy Avenger

In this class, only 2 skills are int Based. These are the holy strike and the holy avenger. So to make your skill set successful, you have to learn Rune Impact and Blunt Shield tho these two skills are Str based.

To level up faster, i suggest that you first pump all your stat to Str.

DESTROYER GUIDE


Ok well since people are getting to play Destroyer so I am going to post a guide on how to be Destroyer where you can tank and also deal great damage.

Warning! This guide only work for any Luna server which the server file isn't being fixed yet. I do not guarantee if Risk Taker(permanent physical attack bonus), Spirit Sword(non weapon specified skill) and Sword Storm(non weapon specified skill) doesn't work on the server you play whether if its official or non official. Use at own risk.


Q.So which path should I go for?

A.You should follow this path that I provide :

Level 1-20 Fighter > Level 20-40 Warrior > Level 40-75 Swordsman > Level 75-105 Knight > Level 105 Destroyer


Q.Which skills should I concentrate into?

A.As for skills, here what you should concentrate into :


Fighter job(level 1-20)

1. Max Fighter Heart.
2. Max Crash Blow.
3. Max Uppercut.
4. Max 2H Training.
5a. Max Sword Training.(If u use 2H Sword as main)
5b. Max Axe Training.(If u use 2H Axe as main)
5b(i). Max Axe Mortality.

Note: If you cant max the Crash Blow or Uppercut don't worry because you will able to do it once you get the next job.



Warrior job(level 20-40)

1. Max Risk Taker.
2. Max Fighter Heart.
3. Max Warrior Form.
4. Max Uppercut > Earthquake.
5. Max Crash Blow > Burning Crash.
6. Max 2H Training.
7a. Max Sword Training.

Note: If you cant max all the skill above, relax you can still do it on next job. Risk Taker is a bug skill so re log right after you max it for permanent physical attack(as of now it will be called patk) bonus. 2H accuracy skill is a bonus skill to put your sp into but its up to you if you going to raise it or not.



Swordsman job(level 40-75)

1. Max Risk Taker.

Note: On Knight job, you will gain balanced defense as well as balanced offense and also you will able to mobbing easily. Also note that I'm very lazy to modified the skills numbering so you will notice that your Burning Crash, Earthquake, Fighter Heart, Warrior Form and some other passive skills or active skills are already at max.



Destroyer job(lvl 105)

1. Max Risk Taker.
2. Max Fighter Heart.
3. Max Warrior Form.
4. Max Rage Burst.
5. Max Fatal Force.
6. Max Burning Crash.
7. Max Fearful Blow.
8a. Max Sword Training.
8b. Max Axe Training.

Note:IT IS IMPORTANT that you don't increase Earthquake to lvl 21 or else it will be bugged. At this job you already able to solo bosses in Naila Harbor and even mobs in Graveyard. Rage burst only take effect if you are using sword.



Q.What kind of gear should I use and should I put all stats on STR?

A.As for equipment, I suggest you use Holy Iron Chain Knights Sets since it gave balanced stats with nice pdef and patk at lvl 105. For lower lvl you can use equipment from npc or monster drop or even from craft. As for stats just put all on STR.



Q.So when I reach Destroyer will I able to do things in solo?

A.Yes once you hit Destroyer job you can pvp easily, solo boss easily, and also mobbing easily because you will deal a lot of dmg other than anyone else.



Q.Where should I level from lvl 20 onwards?

A.The leveling spot are like this:



Level 20-40 = Tarintus, Moon Blind Forest.
Level 40-75 = Mont Blanc Port, Dryed Gazell Fall, Howling Cave 1F/2F
Level 75-105 = Howling Cave 2F, Ghost Swamp Valley, Naila Harbor.
Note: This spot is mainly for x100 exp rate. For official's there might be a few changes on the leveling spot.



Q.Who should I talk to for job change?

A.Well here is a list how to change from Fighter > Destroyer :

1. Warrior : Wiff in Alker Harbor.
2. Swordsman : Wiff in Alker Harbor.
3. Knight : Heromech in Red Orc Outpost.
4. Destroyer : Cindamook in Naila Village.


Q.I see. Should I get a Pet at lower level

A.Yes you should and make it into a magic support pet.


Q.Can I pawn Rune Knight with this path?

A.You can if you put sp on Spirit Sword but you cant pawn Rune Knight Spirit Sword since they have lvl 20 Sleep which will put you to sleep for 30 sec with 89% chance of sleeping. Basically just get a Kynee stealth to counter Rune Impact. So when you are invisible, keep using AoE until you hit them and then making them stunned.


Q.Hi, I have a lvl 105 Destroyer and I want to know how to get that lvl 105 set you said?


A.Here is the list on how to get them:


Young Knights (Level 105)

Components:

Holy Iron Chain Knight's Plate Armor

Defense: 232
VIT +20
WIS +9

Sketch Only (Sketch Drops from Austere Grand Master (Boss), Wild Dementor, Tombstone, Skeleton Conjurer, Trentree)

Note: You can gain craft stats bonus when making a Holy Iron Chain Knight's Plate Armor (example +24 STR).


Monster Map : Grave of the Knights

Defense: 53

Drop: Rose Hair, Maggot Paul

Q.If I am going for Mace user to counter the lack of defense, could I still to the big dmg in above photo?

A.The damage mention in photo was from 2H Axe with max Axe mortality(lvl 25). If you are going for Mace user (which add more def from Mace Protection) you cant do such damage. But you still able to dent the monster with your high physical attack due to full STR.


Q.There some people told me that if you increase your skill level to 20 level and above, the skill will be bugged. Is this true?

A.I hate to disappoint you but to be honest only Earthquake is bugged at level 21.



Q.I heard that by going Mercenary instead of Swordman, I will gain more patk on Destroyer job. Is this true?

A.Yes it is true that you will gain more patk. However if you want to choose it instead of Swordsman, I give you the necessary skill you need on that job :


Mercenary job(level 40-75)

1. Max Fighter Heart.
2. Max Risk Taker.
3. Max Warrior Form.
4. Max Rage Burst.
5. Max Burning Crash.
6. Max Earthquake.
7. Max Heavy Weapon Accuracy.

Note: The reason why I include Heavy weapon accuracy on Mercenary is because I heard that hitting monster is very pain at low level due to lack of strike. Since Mercenary gave lvl 7 Heavy Weapon Accuracy then its a good practice to get it at max level. Oh and by the way, to gain more patk on Destroyer job you need to be Mercenary only.



Q.What is the difference of Gladiator and Knight job. Will I miss any skill from Gladiator job if I went to Knight > Destroyer?

A.Ok here is the difference. In Knight you will obtain Solid weapon which increase your patk and also you will gain Heavy Armor Expertise(H.A.E) which will boost your defense since you are going to use Young Knight sets. As for Gladiator, there isnt much any useful skills as it only upgrade your Fighter Heart and Warrior Form as well as giving you Flame Smash skill. As to answer the last question, you will get your Gladiator skill at Destroyer job because Destroyer is upgrade class of Gladiator.

From here on you should do dd's to level if your a lazy person, because it is very boring.

[Sword Master] 105+
When you become Sword Master it is a good idea to dual wield.... Well it works for me. Just Put everything on full str and hope you get lucky on philos. Some 30+ str philos would be extremely useful!! Also remember to reskill.

What Path should I go??
The popular path, and the path I went was Fighter>Warrior>Infantryman>Rune Knight>Sword Master. You should go this path so you can get balanced P def and P atk. And the more p def you have the easier time you have grinding for levels.

What stats should I use to train?
I personally used Vit type, but its really up to you. If you go full str, I recommend great vit reinforce and great philo aswell.

What equips should I use?
Use Holy Knights set, 2pc hathor, 2pc flickering or level 100 earrings, Kynee, and Costume with BWL. I recommend using lizard for more p def, and using aias shield at grave.

It is possible to have as much p atk as me if you obtain Chiv and T belt. You will also need some 40+ str philo
